Reading through writing – To foster lifelong enjoyment of literature

Your students are all lost in TokTok. How do you get them to read? How do you make them interested in reading? In literature? One way may be to involve them in the making of fiction. Through a series of creative writing activities, Martin Idehall tries to engage his students in the actual craft, let loose some of their creative powers, and make them experience literature from the inside. In his talk, he will share a few ways that he uses when working with reading in his English classroom.

Martin Idehall has been a teacher for 20 years and has taught English in the IB Diploma Programme for 15 years.
